Society of the Month
Silver Screen Society
Silver Screen Society may be quiet and unassuming, but they’ve had a fantastic start to the year. They’ve created a wide variety of film screenings since the beginning of term, supported other societies with collaborative events, and continue to be the reigning experts of the SU popcorn machine. Their organisation, reliability, and excellent communication make them a standout society and a pleasure to work with.

Global Society of the Month
Moroccan Society
Moroccan Society have worked incredibly hard this month to build connection and community. Their recent Movie Night was a highlight, receiving great feedback from students and showcasing the committee’s teamwork in planning, promotion, and event setup. They’ve shown commitment, strong communication, and warmth in everything they do — making them a joy to collaborate with.

Academic Society of the Month
Art Society
Art Society have delivered thoughtful and creative workshops this month, including lino printing sessions and character creation activities. They have exciting collaborative trips coming up, including joining Anime Society for their ComicCon visit. They are highly organised, communicate well, complete forms on time, and always submit attendance registers — a brilliant example of strong committee leadership.

Sports Club of the Month
Pole Fitness Club
Pole Fitness have had an amazing start to the year, smashing membership numbers and building a strong relationship with their external venue, PPD Studios, who have been full of praise for them. They’ve introduced weekly stretch classes to help members build confidence, and have hosted fantastic collaborative socials with Ice Skating Club and HUSSI. With workshops, events, and a Christmas showcase on the way, it’s shaping up to be an exciting year for Pole.
