Meet Your New SU Officer Team 2026/27

This year’s election saw 2,415 voters taking part and a total of 8,699 votes cast, showing just how engaged and invested our students are in shaping the future of the Students’ Union.

The turnout for this year’s SU Officer Elections highlights the strength of student voice at Huddersfield and the importance of representation within the Students’ Union. Thousands of votes were cast across the week, with students taking the time to read manifestos, engage with candidates, and ultimately decide who will lead the SU over the coming year.

Thank You to Our Outgoing Officers

As we welcome the new Officer Team, we also want to thank our outgoing Officers for their dedication and hard work. Dobby as President, Bethany as Activities Officer, and Irfan as Education Officer have each made a significant impact during their time in post. From leading campaigns and supporting students to representing the SU at every level, their contributions have helped shape a stronger and more inclusive community.

We wish them all the very best in their next chapters and thank them for everything they have given to the Students’ Union.

A Well Done to All Candidates

A massive well done to everyone who ran in this year’s elections. Standing for an Officer role takes commitment, confidence, and passion, and every candidate helped make this election engaging and competitive. Your ideas, campaigns, and dedication reflect the incredible talent within our student community.
