What is Peer Support?
University life can be exciting, but it can also be challenging. Whether you're dealing with academic matters, feeling homesick, navigating relationships, or just need someone to talk to — you're not alone.
Peer Support is a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can talk to fellow students who get it. Our trained Peer Supporters are students just like you. They listen, support, and help you find your way — and they’re trained in active listening, empathy, and signposting you to resources if needed.
Why Talk to a Peer Supporter?
- They understand student life — because they live it too.
- You’re not alone — 1 in 4 students reach out for help each year.
- Totally confidential — no judgement, just someone who listens & cares.
- Flexible — drop-in chats, 1:1 conversations, or casual social events.
Events and Drop-ins
We host regular events from relaxed coffee chats to themed meetups. They're a great way to meet other students and share experiences.

Remember: Asking for help isn’t a weakness — it’s a strength.
