After discussing your idea within the Big Ideas group, we’ve now assigned it to the Global Citizens Network Lead, who will be taking this project forward. They will begin exploring possible themes, recipe collections, and ways to involve students in contributing content. Once they have developed some initial concepts, they will provide an update on next steps.
If you would like to collaborate, share suggestions, or get involved in shaping the project, you are very welcome to reach out directly to the Network Lead — their email address has been cc’d above.
We have updated the Big Ideas platform to reflect the current status as “We are working on it.” As soon as the Global Citizens Network Lead has progressed the work further, we will keep you informed.
Thank you again for submitting such a creative and community‑focused idea — it has the potential to be a really fun and useful project for students across campus.
For a lot of people moving to university, it can be the first time they've had to properly cook for themselves and finding easy, student friendly recipes can be hard - especially when ingredient space and budget is limited.
I think there should be a section on the Student Union website where students can submit recipes for other people to use. This would also allow students from different places to try other regional dishes.
